My loves
Since becoming a mom (and working less) I have discovered a real passion for baking, mainly cakes, of all kinds. I love birthdays for this reason! I love experimenting with flavours and decorating. I made my own 3 tier wedding cake in January. Two tiers of fruit and one vanilla sponge, decorated in ivory icing, shimmer spray and ribbon. It was simple, and by no means perfect, but it was hand made by the bride unlike most wedding cakes!

I would really love to expand on my baking skills and try bread and pastries, but I don't get as much time as i would like with 2 young kiddies. I have been asked a couple of times to make cakes for money, but I don't quite have the confidence yet, which is why i'm keen to keep practicing. I do intend to put some fudge recipes into practice over the next few weeks too.
I'm also trying my hand at sewing right now. In fact i'm having a go at lots of crafty bits at the minute a la Kirsty Allsopp, i'll keep you updated through the blog.
Me and my husband also have a passion for photography. He's planning on doing a course next year and maybe doing some professional work, watch this space.
I love reading! My last reads are La Leche League: The womanly art of breastfeeding, The Politics of breastfeeding, and Katie Price- Love, lipstick and lies (bit of a contrast!) I love educating myself but I also love trash!
I love nature. I walk as much as possible. As much as I wish I could afford to live in the countryside, I love that we can walk to the local shopping centre and playgroups. We've got 'the girls' in the garden, our loyal hens, providing us with totally fresh, free range eggs!
My biggest passion is by far my girls. I'm taking this mommy lark more seriously than I ever thought!
And now I guess i've got blogging to add to that list...

Theres not a lot I dislike, nothing instantly springs to mind other than peanut butter!
